The biggest jump is from Free to Pro: that is where Claude Code and the Opus models, the most capable in the lineup, come in.
How usage limits work.
Claude does not count fixed messages but usage per 5-hour session:
- Pro gives more usage per session than Free.
- Max gives 5 or 20 times more usage than Pro, depending on the tier.
- Team: a Standard seat gives more than Pro, a Premium seat 5 times more than a Standard seat.
Anthropic reserves the right to apply other limits, such as weekly or monthly caps, to keep access fair. In practice: if you regularly hit the limit on Pro, that is the signal to move to Max or a Premium seat.
What about Claude Cowork.
Many searches still mention "Claude Cowork". Anthropic's pricing page says Claude Cowork is now part of Claude itself, rolling out to Pro and Max, with other plans to follow. On the Team side, the page lists "Claude Code and Claude Cowork" among the included features.
